In its now traditional collaboration with the Kolga Photo Festival, the Italian Embassy in Georgia continues the exploration of Italian photographic art. For the 2022 edition, the inauguration of the exhibition “Frammenti di’Italia: 1970-2010” by the Italian photographer, screenwriter, theatre and film director, John Randolph Pepper, is scheduled for May 8 at the Art Palace of Georgia in Tbilisi.
The exhibition, curated by Roberta Semeraro, consists of 40 photos taken between 1970 and 2011 in the places through which Pepper passed while travelling in Italy. It is an evocative gallery of pictures taken strictly in black and white and with natural light, in which it is possible to capture an evocative charm reminiscent of the great reportages of the past.
Moreover, these shots document life and portray the moments, faces and figures that populated the journeys of the master of “street photography”.
