A Berna la mostra UpCycle
A Berna la mostra UpCycle

The Embassy of Italy in Berne has organised an exhibition entitled “UpCycle. When art reinvents the world”. Hosted in the Embassy residence, the exhibition is open to visitors until 31 July 2022. It was produced in collaboration with the Consulates General of Italy in Zurich, Lugano and Geneva, the Consulate of Italy in Basel and the Italian Cultural Institute in Zurich. The exhibition was curated by Silvio Mignano and Antonello Tolve.

“UpCycle” is an opportunity to reflect on the strategies adopted in art to reinvent the world. The focus is on the re-use and renewal of organic and inorganic material, elements of everyday 20th century life which still affects, through use and misuse, the careless passing of our day-to-day lives.

Artists whose works are on show include Mrdjan Bajic, Elena Bellantoni, Tomaso Binga, Fabrizio Cotognini, Valentina De’ Mathà, Katharien De Villiers, Isora Degola, Ulrich Egger, Matteo Fato, Giorgia Mascitti, Claudia Giannuli, H.H. Lim, Deborah Napolitano, Laura Paoletti, Marina Paris, Lamberto Pignotti, Enrico Pulsoni, Giuseppe Stampone, Giovanni Termini, Fosco Valentinie and Narda Zapata.
