The fourteenth edition of the International Festival “The Pearl of the Silk Road” took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, proposing the Italian Film Days for the second year.
Three titles were presented: “The Shadow of the Day” by Giuseppe Piccioni, “Ennio” by Giuseppe Tornatore, and “The Inner Cage” by Leonardo Di Costanzo. The event was curated by Olga Strada and organized in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Uzbekistan and the Tashkent International Film Festival. The programme also included a masterclass by Clara Tosi Panfili on “Fashion and Costume in Films”, to create a bridge between Italian and Uzbek cinematography in order to develop many opportunities for collaboration in the various areas that make up the creation chain of a film.
