For the celebrations of the first anniversary of the nation branding campaign “Italy is simply extraordinary: beIT” launched by the Farnesina, the event “Italian Food is Passion” was held at the Italian Embassy in Vienna, in the historic setting of Metternich Palace.
“Italy – Ambassador Stefano Beltrame said, opening the event – is an extraordinary country, Austrians know this well and love Italy, but it is extremely important to constantly focus on an image that sometimes does not perfectly resemble today’s reality. This is the actual meaning of the first worldwide nation branding campaign launched by the Farnesina, whose first anniversary we are celebrating in Vienna”.
During the evening, Made in Italy was described through a cooking show by Luca Miliffi of Cibus Italia, who illustrated the characteristics that make some world-famous Italian products unique and top quality products. Economist Philipp Heimberger from the Vienna Institute for International Economics then took the floor, illustrating the assets of the Italian economy. The main videos of the promotional campaign were shown too, as well as the video presenting Rome’s bid to host EXPO 2030.
