Jazz guitarist and singer Antonio D’Agata will be hosted in Sofia as part of the A.I.R. – Artisti in Residenza project. As of 20 January, the young musician will take part in a month-long artistic residency project that includes several master classes. The artist will also come into contact with the jazz scene of the Bulgarian capital under the supervision of percussionist Maestro Borislav Petrov. Аt the end of the artistic residency period, the artists participating in the project will perform a jazz concert as a trio.
The A.I.R. – Artisti in Residenza project is supported by MIDJ, the Italian National Association of Jazz Musicians, in order to motivate young Italian jazz musicians to develop their creativity in relation to the international scene through training and professional growth. The project is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE, Società Italiana Autori ed Editori) and the support and hospitality of the Italian Cultural Institute of Sofia, in connection with EJN (Europe Jazz Network).
This is the second time that the Italian Cultural Institute of Sofia has supported the A.I.R. project, following the artistic residency of guitarist Daniele Cordisco.
