Over the course of 2022, the Consulate General in Frankfurt intensified the provision of consular services for Italian citizens. In the past year, the Consulate achieved a record in the number of electronic identity cards issued – 10,996 (+51.8% compared to 2021) – and in the number of passports – 7,348 (+14.2% compared to 2021).
Significant increases were also recorded in other consular services, e.g., registration of marriage certificates – 608 (+16.3% compared to 2021) – transfer to another consular catchment area – 802 (+30% compared to 2021) – change of address – 6,717 (+10.9% compared to 2021) – and visa issuances – 480 (+2.5% compared to 2021).
