The Italian Pavilion at the 17th Chengdu International Environmental Protection Expo (CDEPE0) was officially opened. The exhibition area, curated by ICE Agency and the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, hosts nine companies that best represent Italian excellence in the fields of energy efficiency, smart grids, renewable energy, and circular economy.
While opening the exhibition, the Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, Guido Bilancini, emphasised that the primary objective of Italian participation in the prestigious event was to further stimulate dialogue and Sino-Italian collaborations in sectors of mutual interest such as environmental protection and green technologies. He said: “Thanks to the high innovation skills and competitive advantages of its companies in all sectors of the green economy, Italy is an ideal partner for South-West China, one of the most dynamic regions in the entire country, as far as sustainable development is concerned.
The Italian Pavilion was visited by an institutional delegation composed of representatives from the Sichuan government, sector associations, and the business world. On that occasion, the exhibiting Italian companies illustrated characteristics and strengths in their respective fields of operation.
The companies that took part in the roadshow were the following: Labiotest (air treatment), Air Clean (air treatment), Hydro Italia (water and industrial sludge treatment), Mega System (environmental and pollution control and monitoring), Sebigas Renewable Energy (design, construction and management of biogas and biomethane plants), Mold River Cleaning (wastewater treatment), Compopack Ecopod (eco-sustainable packaging), Systea (wastewater treatment), Rina Consulting (consulting and engineering for environmental projects), Faam (eco-sustainable cells, modules and batteries).
