The Italian Embassy in Vienna, together with the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna, the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Innsbruck and the City of Innsbruck, in cooperation with the Dante Alighieri Society, presents the third edition of the “Italian Book Week” in Innsbruck.
The initiative aims to stimulate cultural reflections through reading, presenting works and writers that encourage communication and discussion with the public. The event will take place over five days, from 22 to 26 May, during which interviews with Italian female writers will be broadcast on the Facebook and Instagram channels of the Dante Alighieri Society of Innsbruck on the topic “Donne: molteplici sfaccettature di un’unica realtà” (Women: multiple facets of a single reality). The authors interviewed will include Viola Ardone, Simona Trivisani, Sara Poma and Stella Poli. On the last day, a reading of fragments of novels by Alessandro Manzoni and Italo Calvino will be held at the local Daffodils bookshop, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Manzoni’s death and the 100th anniversary of Calvino’s birth.
