The Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne and the Consulate of Detroit are the winners of the first edition of the project “Capitals of Italian Creativity in the World” (Festival of Italian Creativity), a competition of ideas organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to enhance the Italian industrial and creative sectors as part of the integrated promotion strategy of Italy in the world conducted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Tools for After is the winning project of the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne – a workshop featuring ideas, solutions, projects, tools and strategies to face the challenges of everyday life in view of the world’s upcoming transformations. Tools For After calls on Italian creativity to answer questions that concern the entire planet, involving sectors in which Italy is internationally recognised for its style and originality, i.e., design, architecture, science, cinema, landscape, food, literature.

LoveITDetroit is the winning project of the Consulate of Detroit, with a schedule of events designed to renew and reinforce the ties that unite our country to the US Motor City in the name of design and sustainability in various sectors – from automobiles to aerospace, from cinema to education, from art to fashion, an area in which “Fashion Panorama: The Italian new Wave”, a photographic and editorial project realised by MAECI in collaboration with Vogue Italia, will be presented in the metaverse.

As part of its growth diplomacy action, the “Capitals of Italian Creativity in the World” project selects each year particularly deserving promotional projects by Embassies, Consulates, Permanent Representations and Italian Cultural Institutes, with the aim of encouraging the promotion of new showcases of Italy and Italian know-how, through an integrated promotional action covering the three dimensions of economy, culture and science.
