The Italian Ambassador to Poland Luca Franchetti Pardo introduced the webinar conference “Working across borders: Italy-Poland”, organised in coordination with the COMITES (Committee of Italians Abroad) Poland and Confindustria Polonia by Devis Ciuccio, who has been carrying out professional training on many technical and IT disciplines in Italy for years.
The meeting, which was attended by some 600 participants, aimed to acquaint an audience of Italian professionals with the functioning of the construction sector in Poland in order to promoting greater penetration of the Polish market.
Highlighting the dynamism of bilateral economic relations (“suffice it to say that in 2022 more than EUR 32 billion of trade was achieved”), Ambassador Franchetti Pardo identified some of the sectors with the greatest potential for future growth, such as energy transition and infrastructure modernisation, to which Italian entrepreneurship could make a significant contribution.
This will be even more relevant in the perspective of the future reconstruction of Ukraine, in which Poland will represent – at least in the initial stages – the main logistical hub. In this context, the Ambassador recalled the importance of the “RebuildUkraine” exhibition-conference, which will be held in Warsaw on 14 and 15 November 2023, hoping for a significant presence of Italian companies from the sector.
