In the presence of the Italian Ambassador in Bratislava Catherine Flumiani, the exhibition “Eccellenze italiane – Figure per Italo Calvino” (Italian Excellencies – Characters for Italo Calvino) has been inaugurated at the Department of Philosophy of the Comenius University. The exhibition has been realised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Bratislava and the Department of Italian Studies of the University.
The exhibition, inaugurated on 9 November, presents the works of thirty artists selected by the jury of the international competition “Calvino illustrato”, organised by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and celebrates the work of the Italian writer on the centenary of his birth.
The exhibition is part of the “Italian Excellencies” project, the result of the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the Emilia Romagna Region and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, curated by Cooperativa Sociale Giannino Stoppani – Accademia Drosselmeier.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until 30 November.
