Italian Ambassador Emanuela D’Alessandro, together with the President of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), Matteo Zoppas, the Director of the company organising the event, Rodolphe Lameyse, and the Director of the Paris Office of the ICE Agency, Luigi Ferrelli, inaugurated the Italian Pavilion at the Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris on 12 February. The exhibition organised by Vinexposium, now in its 5th edition, is the main wine and spirits sector fair in France and among the top three in Europe.

As part of its promotional activities in support of Italian wine, the Italian Trade Agency coordinated the joint participation of Italian companies at the exhibition, with around 120 Italian producers representing 17 regions. In addition to the companies present as part of the ICE group, a further 500 Italian companies, institutions, regions and consortia take part in the exhibition, making Italy, with more than 600 exhibitors, the leading country after France.

The Exhibition, inaugurated today at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles by the French Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Marc Fesneau, and Minister for Public Accounts, Thomas Cazenave, will welcome buyers and professionals from all over the world until 14 February. More than 4,000 exhibitors from 56 countries, and over 40,000 trade operators from all over the world, are expected to attend the event, which comes at a key time of the year to bring together all the players in the sector around an initiative that promotes territories, wines and spirits from all over the world.
