The Italian Embassy in Prague is organising the presentation event of the Big Science Business Forum 2024 (BSBF 2024), to be held in Trieste from 1 to 4 October. The event will focus on opportunities for collaboration between research and industry, as well as on business partnerships between local stakeholders and major scientific organisations, which generate a market worth around EUR 10 billion a year at European level.
The Italian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Mauro Marsili will open the conference, followed by speeches by the Regional Councillor for Employment, Training, Education, Research, University and Family of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Alessia Rosolen, and the CEI Coordinator for the Czech Republic, Ambassador Hana Hubackova. The key topics of the Big Science Business Forum 2024 will then be illustrated by the Director of the BSBF Trieste 2024 Paolo Acunzio, while CEI-related topics will be discussed by Alessandro Lombardo.
The event is organised in cooperation with the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Central European Initiative (CEI), the organising committee of the Big Science Business Forum 2024 (BSBF 2024), the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAMIC).
The roadshow to present the Forum, already held in Belgrade and Bratislava, is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to encourage the participation of companies, operators and other stakeholders from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe in the BSBF 2024. The aim is to strengthen the collaboration between labs, research centres and industries during an international event focused on market-oriented scientific and technological cooperation.
