The Italian Ambassador to Australia, Paolo Crudele, and the Director of the Italian Trade Agency in Sydney, Simona Bernardini, presented to a qualified group of guests a new initiative to support Foreign Direct Investments. The aim is to attract Australian and New Zealand economic operators and facilitate their investments in Italy. The launch event was held at the Sydney office of Deloitte, a partner of an outreach action that will have the following main focuses: circular economy, renewables, high-tech machinery, and aerospace.
“By leveraging its resilient, diversified economy, its skilled workforce and an increase in new projects supported also thanks to European funds, Italy’s attractiveness as a destination for foreign capital has increased significantly in recent years. The initiative we are launching today in Sydney is part of those promoted by the Italian Government to increase investments, and constitutes an effective tool to help identify opportunities, engage potential investors and determine how to manage procedures. It is a significant step in enhancing bilateral investment flows,” said Ambassador Crudele at the end of the event.
Director Simona Bernardini pointed out that “the ITA office in Sydney, which is responsible for Australia and New Zealand, is ready to facilitate a smooth investment journey in Italy. From navigating national incentive schemes to providing guidance on local employment procedures, our team is equipped to provide support at every stage of the investment cycle.”
