From handcrafted shoesto fashion multinational
Ferruccio Ferragamo will be the guest of the Conversation on Thursday 27 November 2014. He will tell the story of half a century at the head of a company that started life making handcrafted shoes and today is a fashion multinational. With over 630 own-brand sales outlets in 93 countries, Ferragamo has become one of the world’s best-known symbols of the “Made in Italy” brand.
For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), Thursday’s meeting with Ferragamo – with whom our diplomatic network has worked on many previous occasions – is a new, interesting and useful opportunity for discussion and analysis with the leader of a major Italian fashion company. A company that has conquered the international markets by exploiting not just the inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit of its founders but also Italy’s great heritage of style and craftsmanship and the enterprise and resourcefulness of its diplomacy. Indeed, the Conversation with Ferragamo is just the latest example of the MFAIC’s evermore intensive efforts to promote Italyworldwide.
