Over 250 health sector professionals from Tunisia attended an international conference in Hammamet on breast cancer prevention and information. The conference also attracted over 30 foreign participants, mainly from the 5+5 countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Malta and the Maghreb nations). Italian Ambassador Raimondo De Cardona also attended.
The event was organised by the Tunisian Ministry of Health with funding and support from Italian Development Cooperation as part of a project to support the country’s Cancer Prevention Programme. Nearly 4000 healthcare professionals have received training through the programme, and about 150,000 women have been examined. Read more, in Italian
