The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, together with the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, will inaugurate today in Milan the third edition of the National Conference on Export and the Internationalisation of Enterprises.

The initiative, organised with the contribution of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), SACE, SIMEST and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), will also see the participation of the President of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, and the Deputy Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini.

With around 1,800 registered participants—including entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals and representatives of trade associations—the Milan Conference will offer more than 150 Heads of Italy’s diplomatic missions the opportunity to engage directly with representatives of Italy’s business and financial sectors through an extensive programme of meetings. It will also provide an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the tools made available under the Italian Export Action Plan launched by Minister Tajani to strengthen the presence of Made in Italy in international markets.

Approximately 1,500 operational “Business to Ambassadors” meetings between private sector representatives and diplomats are scheduled. A further 4,000 videoconference meetings have been booked by companies seeking support from Italian Embassies worldwide.

The Conference will conclude with a session focusing on the importance of sports diplomacy in promoting the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
