The “Oil of Lebanon” project providing social and economic support for olive-growing regions has come to a successful conclusion. The project, which received funding of 3.3 million euros through multilateral channels was implemented by the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari in partnership with Lebanon’s Ministry of Agriculture.
The project helped improve the quality and quantity of the oil produced, reduce the costs and environmental impact of production, and increase the income of workers in the sector in 12 regions of the country. The Ministry of Agriculture now has the expertise to reproduce the project in a further four regions. Read more, in Italian.
