The Consulate General of Italy in Bahía Blanca has contributed to the creation and expansion of the collection of Italian-language books on engineering and technology at the National Technology University (UTN), thanks to the books provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The UTN is one of Argentina’s leading universities in the fields of engineering and technology, with campuses in many cities.
With the donation of new books in the presence of the Dean, Eng. Alejandro Staffa, and the Directors of the University’s main Departments, the Italian Technology Library at the UTN Bahía Blanca has been further enriched in the fields of civil, mechanical and electronic engineering, as well as in developments in information technology and artificial intelligence.
The Italian Technology Library is a tool of fundamental importance – one of the first of its kind in Southern Argentina – for promoting knowledge of our language, studying outstanding academic texts and strengthening relations between universities and the labour world in Italy and Argentina, as emphasised by Consul General Nicola Bazzani.
