The Dante Alighieri Society announced the official opening of an office in Point Noire and the start of its first courses in Italian, viewed as a language of access to careers as a result of the presence of major Italian firms in Congo. The promoters said that the new “Casa Italia” in Pointe Noire was to become an Italian cultural hub, strengthening the integration of the growing Italian community there into the city’s economic, cultural and social fabric.
