Four of the five Italian activists detained yesterday in the West Bank whilst taking part in the Palestinian olive harvest campaign will be deported under immediate administrative proceedings. The four compatriots are expected to leave for Italy as early as tomorrow morning.

A fifth one has chosen to follow the legal proceedings and shall wait for the issuance of a deportation order by an Israeli judge.

The Embassy of Italy in Tel Aviv and the Consulate-General in Jerusalem have been following the case in close coordination with the activists’ lawyers.

The Italian nationals are all in good condition and have always been assisted by their lawyers, supported by the Italian consular authorities.
