Undersecretary Di Stefano receives the Italian National Chefs Team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Undersecretary Manlio Di Stefano received today at the Farnesina the members of the Italian National Chefs Team, led by Team Manager Gianluca Tomasi and Captain Pierluca Ardito. The National Team is back from Stuttgart, where it won the gold medal in the Restaurant of Nations category at the Ika Culinary Olympics, the biggest cooking competition in the world held in the German city from 14 to 19 February.

“This further success of the Italian National Chefs confirms, if necessary, the great consideration that is given in the world to the symbols of Made in Italy, our lifestyle and the richness of our culture and our territory, unanimously admired. This is certainly the case of our food and our cuisine, which make use not only of a high quality product, but also of a high level of culinary professionalism that knows how to combine a centuries-old tradition with the capacity for continuous innovation of our best chefs” – commented the Undersecretary – “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports and enhances, within the campaign “Vivere all’Italiana”, this heritage of the country and contributes, also through the network of Embassies and Consulates, to its diffusion, also in collaboration with the Italian Chefs Federation”.
