Today Undersecretary Scalfarotto inaugurated the Czech-Italian Business Forum at the Assolombarda headquarters in Milan in the presence of Czech Foreign Minister Petricek, the President of the ICE-Agency, Carlo Ferro, and Vice President for the internationalization of Assolombarda, Enrico Cereda.
Scalfarotto recalled how “Italy is the sixth supplier of the Czech Republic, a Country with a strong industry that in recent years has developed important prospects for collaboration with Italian companies, particularly in the sectors of infrastructure, aerospace, high-speed rail and metropolitan railways where our technology and know-how meet the Czech economy’s demand for innovation”.
The forum was preceded by a bilateral meeting during which a common vision emerged on several European and international issues: enlargement of the EU to the Western Balkans, digital tax, QFP, green economy, transatlantic relations and collaboration with China.
In recalling the celebration in 2019 of the 100 years of diplomatic relations between the two Countries, the Undersecretary announced the opening in the coming months of an ICE desk in Prague dedicated to the themes of innovation, while our participation in the International Engineering Fair in Brno in October 2020, the oldest and most important in the Country, announced by Pres. Ferro, testifies to the growing role that technology plays in the economic partnership between the two Countries.
