Minister Moavero Milanesi opened the annual meeting of the Assembly of Parties to the International Development Law Organization

This morning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, opened the annual meeting of the Assembly of Parties to the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), an intergovernmental organisation based in Rome.

In his address, Minister Moavero Milanesi, emphasised how the Rule of Law and, more in general, the spread of a culture of legality, represents the necessary condition for a society to guarantee peace and justice and a situation truly fostering sustainable development, by combining economic growth with social and environmental protection measures. Minister Moavero Milanesi also recalled that Italy was one of the IDLO founding Countries in 1988 and is honoured to have been home to the 34-member Organisation for more than 30 years. Thus, Italy’s commitment to IDLO continues with conviction and a renewed operational thrust.
