Minister Luigi Di Maio opened the Italy – Central Asia Conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, referring to it as “an important occasion to make public institutions and Italian enterprises in particular more aware of opportunities in the countries in the region”.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the ISPI (Italian Institute for International Political Studies). Chaired by Undersecretary Manlio Di Stefano, it was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Chingiz Aidarbekov, Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, Tajikistan, Sirodjidin Muhriddin and the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev and Turkmenistan, Vespa Hajiev.
