Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum – Foreign Ministry to host the Forum on Trade and Investment Opportunities in Pakistan

On Tuesday, 5 April, the Italian Foreign Ministry will host the Forum on Trade and Investment Opportunities in Pakistan. The event will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, and by the Chairman of the Board of Investment of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Miftah Ismail. The Forum is organised by the Foreign Ministry’s Directorate General for the Promotion of Italy in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency, ICE- Agenzia, UNIDO ITPO Italy, Confindustria and the Pakistani Embassy to Italy. On the Forum’s agenda are numerous contributions, also by the Undersecretary of State for constitutional reforms, Ivan Scalfarotto, and representatives of ICE, Confindustria, SACE and SIMEST, who will give an overview of the potential of Italy’s economic and business system.

The Forum will look at the potential perspectives of strengthening the two Countries’ economic and industrial relations, with a special focus on the sectors of infrastructure, agro-food, pharmaceuticals, energy, marble and porcelain  processing machinery, textile and automotive.

The Forum’s working session will be closed by Benedetto Della Vedova, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and will be followed by bilateral business meetings between Italian and Pakistani companies in the afternoon.
