Istanbul’s 14th Biennale of Contemporary Art, which runs from 5 September to 1 November 2015, has a strong Italian input. Two of the principal venues are Italian: the IMI Liceo and the Societa’ Operaia di Mutuo Soccorso. And of course, the 1500 works on display include many by Italian artists.
The Italian Consulate General hosted a reception to mark the opening of the Biennial, while the guide and information material for the event were produced with the help of the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul. The curator, the Italian-American Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, has entitled the Biennial “Saltwater: A Theory of Thought Forms”. Read more, in Italian
