Armenia and Azerbaijan

Following the new violent clashes between Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces near the international border between the two countries, Italy has welcomed the news that a ceasefire agreement, mediated by Russia, has been reached. We call on both parties to ensure that the civilian population is protected and to implement all measures to rebuild reciprocal trust in order to facilitate the path towards a sustainable solution, in particular under the auspices of the OSCE.
