South Ossetia: Italy supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia

In relation to the so-called “presidential elections” held in the Georgian region of South Ossetia, Italy reaffirms its firm and unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders and does not recognize any act that runs counter to such principles, while continuing to encourage a negotiated path towards a sustainable solution to ensure peace, stability and development in the Caucasus region as a whole.
