Italian cuisine took center stage on Greek television: the Italian Ambassador to Greece, Patrizia Falcinelli, was a guest star and judge at the instalment of the Greek edition of MasterChef dedicated to Italian gastronomy that was aired yesterday.
The trials faced by the contestants offered a valuable opportunity to remind the Greek public of the excellence of Italian cooking and of the agrifood sector as well as to promote the Mediterranean diet and a healthy and sustainable style of eating and living: these are the key elements contained in Italy’s proposal for a European-wide food labeling system capable of giving consumers transparent information without causing prejudice to Italian products of excellence, the crown jewels of Europe’s agrifood industry.
