The book “Percorsi veneziani nel Mediterraneo” will be presented at 18.00 on Thursday 1 March at the Contemporary Arts Centre in Ankara. The photography exhibition of the same name will be opened at the same time. Both events have been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Ankara in collaboration with Cankaya City Council and the Italian Language and Literature Department of the Languages, History and Geography Faculty of the University of Ankara.
The book, written in three languages and edited by Diego Santaliana and Faith Demirhan, is divided into two parts. The first focuses on the Black Sea, the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus, while the second is dedicated to the Aegean and the Mediterranean. The study includes two projects. The first, “The Castles of the Anatolian Coastline”, was begun in 2006 and conducted by M. Fatih Demirhan, Yücel Eğecioğlu, Özer Erdoğan, Diego Santaliana and Sadık Üçok. The second, conducted by Marco Polo System Geie, focuses on the Anatolian coastline. The book was published by Terra Ferma, with funding from Veneto Region.
