The Italian Cooperation is about to conclude a programme aimed at raising the local standard of living in an area approximately 30 km north of Malindi, on the Kenyan coasts, a vacation paradise for many Italians.
The programme, carried out in collaboration with the Kenyan government’s Coast Development Agency, has already completed construction of a healthcare clinic, an elementary and middle school and a barrier reef to protect fishing villages, and supplied instruments and incentives to boost the area’s economic development.
