At one year on from ceremony for the establishment of the Rome-Beijing direct flight held at the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, Alitalia’s Vice President of Sales, Distribution & Customers Marco Sansavini welcomed the Italian Ambassador to the PRC Attilio Massimo Iannucci, along with major Chinese partners and travel agencies. Speakers at the ceremony included the Asia manager of Alitalia, Gianluca Testa. The occasion served as a celebration of Alitalia’s first year of activity in China and to recall the embassy’s enormous effort at increasing the number of visas – from 100,000 in 2010 to 250,000 in 2011.
