Cooperation: Mozambique – new hospital in Caia

The town of Caia, in Mozambique, has a new hospital thanks to funding from Italian Development Cooperation and the Autonomous Province of Trento. The 107-bed hospital, which has a catchment area of around 350,000 people, was opened on 2 June 2012 in the presence of the Mozambican Head of State, Armando Guebuza.


President Guebuza, who was accompanied by the Governor of Sofala Province, thanked the Italian representatives for Italy’ commitment to the social and economic development of the Province and of Caia district.


New tourism-hotel section for the vocational-training school


The new tourism-hotel section of the vocational-training school in Massinga, in Inhambane Province, was opened in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Education. This is the Mozambique’s only junior-middle level school offering vocational training courses in this sector. Read more, in Italian
