“The news from Benghazi arouses horror and indignation”. This was Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi’s comment on the news of the killng of the US Ambassador in Benghazi. “I wish to express my heartfelt and profound solidarity to the USA”, he added.
“We condemn most firmly this terrible attack which must be investigated in full as soon as possible”, declared Terzi. “My thoughts go out to the families of the victims of a dreadful act that has struck the people engaged in a front line role in restoring hope and support to a people who wish to build their own future of freedom and democracy. I wish to express my heartfelt and profound solidarity to the United States, and in particular to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for the sacrifice of human lives suffered by the Department of State on what is a tragic day for all of us”.
