This was the topic of a round table hosted by the Italian Embassy in Washington and attended by numerous experts in the sector. These included companies, embassies, the World Bank, The Inter-American Development Bank, journalists and bloggers. The topic, the challenges posed by demographic pressures on sustainability, will be the central theme of Expo Milano 2015, as Ambassador Claudio Bisognero noted when he opened the proceedings.
