“We have the impression that the truce” in Gaza “is on solid grounds. I believe that everything must be done to strengthen those also in terms of a possible opening of the Strip to greater control”. This was Minister Terzi’s comment in the early hours of the truce. “We are in contact with Egypt, to whom we extend our congratulations”, Terzi added, “and we are convinced that there is a way for Italy, along with other European nations, to contribute to a stabilisation that must be based on the revival of dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis”.
