The 13th Italo-Russo Cooperation Council opened at the Centre for Innovation in Skolkovo, near Moscow. Minister Terzi attended, accompanied by a delegation of approximately 30 persons, who included Under-Secretary for Economic Development Claudio de Vincenti. Also in attendance was Ambassador of Italy to Moscow Antonio Zanardi Landi.
Bilateral themes
The agenda of the meeting, which takes annual stock of relations between Rome and Moscow, included a wide spectrum of bilateral economic, industrial and financial themes, ranging from energy to infrastructure, defence to scientific collaboration, tourism to innovation partnerships, as well as increased investments in respective economies.
Italian firms
Terzi co-chaired the meeting with Russian Vice Premier Arkadi Dvorkovich. Present for the first time as observers were the representatives of a dozen Italian companies that included, ENEL, Finmeccanica, Edison, Pirelli and Banca Intesa. A joint communiqué and several bilateral documents were expected.
Terzi- Rogozin meeting
Terzi had also discussed bilateral economic relations, starting with a high-profile energy partnership and development projects, with Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin last Friday in Rome.
