AN ITALIAN “PIAZZA” AT THE TOURISM FAIR IN ISRAEL

A “piazza” measuring 100 square metres to showcase the delights that Italy offers the millions of visitors who chose it as a holiday destination every year. That is the space organised by ENIT, the Italian Tourism Board, at the International Mediterranean Tourism Market, the main Israeli tourism fair currently being staged in Tel Aviv.


Over 13,000 visitors



“Piazza Italia”, which has attracted over 13,000 visitors, hosts stands with displays by Puglia Region, Roma Capitale and a delegation from the Marches Region. The Italian Ambassador to Israel, Francesco Talò, together with the Italy-Israel Chamber of Commerce, organised a reception at the Residence in honour of Roma Capitale to coincide with the Fair. Roma Capitale was represented by Antonio Gazzellone, Mayor Gianni Alemanno’s Counsellor for Tourism. Also attending were the President of the Jewish Community in Rome, Riccardo Pacifici, and the Director General of Federalberghi for Rome and Lazio, Tommaso Tanzilli. Representatives of the main Israeli tour operators and the specialist press also attended the event.
