Starting today, 6 March 2013, the Foreign Ministry has a new section called “infoMercatiEsteri”, conceived and produced by the Directorate General for the Promotion of “System Italy”. Designed to meet the demand for information on foreign markets voiced by Italy’s economic and business communities, it provides two main search options: geographical or sector-based.
Assessing which markets to expand your business in
The new platform is the fruit of input and analysis from embassies, consulates, the ICE-Italian Trade Promotion Agency units based in our diplomatic missions, the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad and the Italian Tourism Board (ENIT) offices. Its aim is to provide a timely and accurate information service to enable Italian businesses to assess potential markets in which to expand their business. The information available for each market will include the economic and political outlook, market opportunities and the possibility of partnerships with local and/or Italian companies; promotional initiatives; barriers to trade; problems and possible risks for investments; access to credit; an overview of the Italian presence; and bilateral relations.
The beta version of the new section is now online.
