A chance for Italian visual artists to observe, interpret and relate to the city and people of Addis Ababa by spending time in the African metropolis. That is the aim of the artists’ residency programme launched by the Italian Cultural Institute to dispel the simplistic and stereotypical image of the Ethiopian capital that is all too widely held in Europe and Italy. The programme hopes to foster a new view that reflects the forward-looking drive that is a key feature of today’s Africa and its cities. Read more, in Italian.
