MOSCOW – MITT, 10 italian regions showcased

The 20th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition is now under way. The Russian tourism sector’s key event, the MITT sees a strong Italian presence, with 10 of our regions taking part. The Italian stand, organised by the Italian Tourism Board, ENIT, will host Sardinia, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Liguria, Marche, Puglia and Campania. Also present are Roma Capitale, Italo-NTV (rail transport), with 8 customised spaces also available.


Joint Declaration for the Year of Tourism


The Minister for Regional Affairs, Tourism and Sport, Piero Gnudi, will be visiting Moscow during the Fair. He will be signing a Joint Declaration for the Year of Tourism with the Russian Minister for Culture, Vladimir Medinsky.


With over 3000 companies taking part and 197 destinations represented, the MITT is a prime showcase for Italy in one of the most promising tourism markets, with luxury travel a key segment for Russian holiday-makers.


In 2012 the MITT attracted nearly 90,000 visitors, most of them working in the tourism sector.
