SEOUL – Italian kiwi hit the korean market

Thursday 21 through two brands, Kiway and Jingold. The distribution launch took place at the headquarters of E-mart, one of the country’s major chains with 148 points of purchase. In 2012 the group marketed 35 million dollars worth of Italian products, of which 16 million in wines, 8 in pasta and 6 in sweets and pastry products. The president of E-mart expressed interest in widening the range of Italian products it distributes, in light of their popularity with the Korean people, but which are still limited to the foodstuffs sector. Speakers at the event included HUR Inn-chul, CEO of E-mart, Italian Ambassador Sergio Mercuri, President of the “Kiwifruit of Italy” Consortium Alessandro Fornari and Director of the Seoul ICE Office Guglielmo Galli.
