A delegation from the Venice Industrial Confederation (Confindustria), made up of 10 businessmen from various sectors interested in the Turkish market, met in Istanbul with its counterpart association and with Turkish trade, industry and transport authorities. A delegation from the Venice port authority also participated to explore the possibility of further developing maritime links between the ports of Istanbul and Venice. During its 2-day visit, the Italian delegation held a series of meetings, organised by the local ICE office, with representatives of Kosgeb (union of small and medium sized enterprises), Musiad (association of independent industrial entrepreneurs), Deik (council for foreign economic relations of the union of Turkish chambers of commerce), Ispat (agency for investment promotion) and Tugiad (association of young entrepreneurs), as well as Sace and Unicredit.
