A course is being held at the Villa Ormond International Institute for Humanitarian Law (IIHL) in Sanremo, Italy for a large delegation of international government officials from Libya and South Sudan, as well as from other Arab-speaking countries: Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Qatar and the Palestinian Authority; other participants include officials, legal advisors and other experts from Austria, Denmark, Georgia, Finland, France, Mexico, Nigeria, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and theUnited Kingdom. The course treats delicate and controversial issues such as the use of armed forces and the defence of civilians in conflict situations. Read more, in Italian.
