Uruguay has commemorated Guglielmo Marconi with a series of events at Punta dell’Este marking the 76th anniversary of the inventor’s death on 20 July 1937. During the celebrations, the Italian Honorary Vice Consul was honoured for his work in the Maldonado-Punta dell’Este consular district. The initiatives were organised with support from the Italian Embassy and the Consulate General in Montevideo. Read more, in Italian.
