Italian exports to Russia increased by 7.1% in June 2013, according to the latest figures from ISTAT. Russian customs figures also show that, with the exception of 2009, our exports have grown constantly, by 40% from 2008 to 2012, or from 7 to 10 billion euros. The figures confirm the consolidation of Italy’s position as a supplier to the Russian Federation.
Denis Manturov awarded Order of Merit of the Italian Republic
The Italian Embassy in Moscow and our diplomatic network throughout Russia have played an important part in our export success. They have encouraged bilateral cooperation on all fronts, economic first and foremost, and helped Italian businesses interested in operating in the Federation. The excellent state of our commercial relations was further confirmed by President Giorgio Napolitano’s decision to award the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic toDenis Manturov, the Minister for Industry and Trade. The award was presented by the Italian Ambassador to Moscow, Antonio Zanardi Landi.
Partnership between Russian helicopter industry and Italy’s Agusta-Westland
Manturov has played a key role in developing economic-industrial collaboration with Italy, including in his previous role as deputy minister. He was instrumental in establishing the strategic partnership between the Russian helicopter industry and Italy’s Agusta-Westland. The initiative has paved the way for an industrial partnership with interesting development prospects, including outside the borders of the Russian Federation.
