Italy-Serbia – Italian business persons meet with new government members

Over 100 representatives of Italian firms participated in Belgrade in a meeting organised by Italian ambassador Giuseppe Manzo with members of the recently seated government.

Opportunity for direct contact

The meeting, which took place at the ambassador’s residence, confirmed Italy’s interest in taking advantage of opportunities for investment and growth. “Serbia is giving our firms, especially small and medium sized ones, the possibility to grow and stay competitive on international markets”, said the ambassador, “and at a time when competition among foreign investors is stiffening in Serbia as well. We wished to give our business people an opportunity for direct contact at all levels with the ministers and directors general of the economic sectors of the new government”. “The Belgrade initiative”, the ambassador underscored, “falls within the ‘diplomacy for growth’ efforts promoted by Minister for Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino”.
