Minister Bonino is in New York with Prime Minister Letta for the 68th General Assembly of the United Nations. They have numerous engagements in their agendas, including the opening of the debate in the General Assembly, a meeting with the Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, a meeting with the President of the General Assembly, John W. Ashe, and the High Level Event on Sahel.
Minister Bonino will have numerous bilateral meetings with her colleagues and will be taking part in events focusing on protecting and promoting the role of women. She will be speaking at several United Nations events, most notably on the Millennium Goals, fighting malaria and the campaign against the death penalty.
