Iraq – Italy working to save the archaeological heritage

The Italian archaeology community is helping restore Iraq’s heritage. On Friday 20 December, the reconstruction project for the Madrasa al-Mirjaniya in Baghdad’s Iraq Museum will be presented in Rome at the Ministry for Culture’s Conservation and Restoration Institute. The project was implemented by Monumenta Orientalia and supported and funded by the Farnesina’s Directorate General for Political Affairs and Security. The Iraqi Ambassador to Rome will be attending the presentation. Read more, in Italian.
